Cowards 02:56
Light-footed cowards, we feed from the hand that will destroy us. As long as we’re the last to go, we’ll grow like weeds off of corpses. From the summits of burial grounds we were lifted into lives of privilege. We fill the emptiness inside of us with the refuse of clear cuts. There’s blood on all of our hands. There’s blood on all of our hands. It’s time to choose whose. Nothing is neutral when the default is negation of everything living. It’s time to choose: the rust or the steel it consumes. The light or the moth that’s subsumed. It protrudes from the forest floor. A glimmer catches a child’s eye. An overgrown and rotting hull. An artifact of what is no more. “Did our kin help them defeat these monsters that lay under feet?”

Hiroshima. All our black clouds collide. And "what does it mean when our shadows won’t fade off of this concrete?" We live our lives the same way. Drink the nights, watch the days fade away. Celebrate as bodies rot, stretched against concrete. The sky opened up. Our little boy falls to the ground. The sky opened up. The fat man falls to the ground. This city covered in silence. Uncharacteristic like the ash covering sidewalks. Sort through the remains all day of your loved ones trapped under debris or your thoughts plague by the images of buildings falling onto these sidewalks. The sky opened up. Another one jumps — and hits the ground. The sky opened up. Hubris trips on stolen ground. They'll leave nothing behind, behind. Our lover whispers: "I’ll kill you before I leave you. Before it stops.” Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop.

Legacy 09:58
Resting on a thousand bones. Buried with the soil they stole. The voices still ring out in the gaps of silence. Under the humming, the static, the violence. We will not rest until this ends. Underneath the concrete you step, inhaled in your every breath. An insanity never satiated, addicted to death, sedation, enslavement. The bloodlust in which our forefathers christened spread as quick and as quiet as the fire of their baptism. Underwritten and signed by their god, catechisms spread the smog until they burnt out. We will not rest until this ends. As the disease spread it destroyed everything living and replaced what did with graveyards called cities. We will not rest until this ends. For justice, uproot the rot. Let the rust in. Unlearn what we’re taught. Knuckles turned white with hate. It will crush us if it doesn’t stop. Rush through the cracks. Show them what they’ve wrought.
